Casa Don Diego Tulum

It is a nice little oasis within the madness of Tulum, with a fantastic, luxurious garden and a lovely swimming pool. Janely, the lady at the desk, is lovely and can recommend restaurants around the hotel. She showed us the bee hives before we tasted the different kinds of honey one of the owners harvests.

We adored our stay at this hotel! The hotel is home to a puppy and her mama so we were greeted by the duo every morning and evening. It is easily in walking distance of everything in el centro. Sitting by the pool was one of our favorite things to pass the time when we weren’t out exploring. This hotel is just so unique. We felt like we were in the jungle on our way to the room. The staff was accommodating and kind. Tulum was magical and we would definitely stay here again

We stayed in a number of hotels across Quintana Roo and Yucatan during our holiday in Mexico and this one was our favourite. A really lovely little boutique hotel, set around beautiful gardens and with a relaxing pool area. The hotel is located a block back from the main road through Tulum and therefore benefits from being quieter. Yes you will need transport or a taxi if you want easy access to the beaches - but this hotel still provides a great base for exploring the local attractions (e.g. the ruins at Tulum or Coba, Sian Ka'an, Akumal, Xel-ha and all the lagoons and cenotes, etc.). Breakfast was the best of our whole trip and the service we received was so personal and helpful. We absolutely loved staying here and would thoroughly recommend.

I didn't stay here but came for a very interesting specialty coffee course one morning with Stéphane. The property was really lovely and it looked like a nice breakfast buffet. It's a bit on the edge of town and on the other side of the highway, so you'd need a bike, scooter or car.

I was there for the bees. I was a bit early but was still very warm welcomed. When you enter the place it’s like magical. They have a nice patio and a pool. And a little further are the bee hives. I was never able to see so much little friendly bees at one spot. It’s amazing! How lovely and calm they are! It was so good to learn from the bees and the traditions. The explanations were great and all my questions were answered. I even had some bees on my hand - WOW. After this experience. I received some nice food and drinks and had lots of time for myself to try the different kind of honeys. They are all so different, but everyone tastes amazing! I fully recommend this experience and the people were sooooooo lovely. THANK YOU SO MUCH ! Anni

I had a really comfortable stay at Casa Don Diego, the place is quiet and very welcoming and the people just lovely! Very kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful homely property with spacious rooms, lush gardens, lovely pool and in a quiet area, still with good restaurants and cafes walking at. distance.

Rooms are artistic, unique and private. We had our own hammock and private bathroom with a hot shower and US style toilet. The atmosphere is very jungle-like and every detail was perfect. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi and a beautiful pool. We loved every second of our stay!

Great location, friendly owners, lovely setting around the pool. Great breakfast too. Lots of animals including hens :). Little paradise but within safe walking distance to restaurants and shops.
